  • Get Zeroes as been added to the Programs section, along with its source because mac users will have to compile it themselves (sorry :( !). It won't accept decimal values, but it will accept fractions. It works perfectly most of the time; if it doesn't please email me.
  • Sorry this isn't online yet. I don't even know why I bother writing this, I might as well be writing in a personal journal. Oh well, someday, hopefully soon, it'll be public.

  • The Better Net Mapper and the Better Find and Replacer programs have been updated.
  • I have several plans for different videogames, but I haven't had time to make them reality yet. I'm currently working on a program to make sprites for my future programs, and this should be complete soon. I am already planning on creating the following games: A platformer, a traffic simulation, and a typical 1-player game with a story. I have a few other more abstract ideas floating around in my head that I won't reveal yet ;).
  • Base Converter as been added to the Programs section, along with its source because mac users will have to compile it themselves. It's been suggested that I make it work with decimal bases; I'll get around to it eventually.

  • Website redesigned, organized, cleaned, trimmed, the works. You won't see this for a while since I'm trying to see if I can find a hosting service that I can upload files and multiple folders to. Google Pages doesn't do folders, and so far Google Sites doesn't upload :(. It's very disappointing, I expected better from Google.

  • PotatoScreen has been released to the Movies and Games section. It allows you to key out solid colors from jpgs jpegs, gifs, and pngs. This is mostly useful for creating your own backgroundless images, because programs like MS Paint are sorely lacking it. Just make a regular image with a black or white background or any other color, save the image, then fire up this program and key out the color! You can also key out colors from online images.
Saturday April 26 (4/26/2008)

  • Just to keep you posted, I'm working on several new smaller games, and tuning up some old ones. I plan to add sound and images to microbe and pixellus, as well as possibly remaking the spaceship game. A have a couple brandnew games in mind as well. Please don't hesitate to visit my forum or email me at my email address if you have any suggestions. I can't do 3D programs yet, but I'm currently reading a book about it. Whatever your suggestion is, there's a fair chance I'll use it if it's reasonable.

  • Flying Shapes released to the Movies and Games section. Type in random jibberish in the top box and click "execute text", and it will draw shapes depending on what you typed. If you type a character that the engine does not know, it will substitute it with a random one. Thus it gives you semirandom results. You can also "execute" a file, and it will interpret its contents into an array of shapes. You can also change the frame rate, or how long the program waits before displaying the next line of information.

  • As you may have noticed, Syleand has been converted to Abstract Potato. This is because "abstract potato" is both easier to remember and I found a cheaper domain service than what I originally had. Yes, I know I forgot to put a "home" link in the navigation bar. I'm working on it.
Sunday September 23 (9/23/2007)

  • Movies and Games section changed a bit. Now Syleand's movies/games appear in a table, complete with autoinstallers, so you don't have to worry about unzipping them to certain files and all that. I think that they might not work on a Macintosh.

  • My new web hosting service, freewebs, has decided to post a message saying "this form is inoperational" on many of my web pages. Just ignore this notice, it's just my hosting service being annoyingly demonic. Most of the forms actually do work, with the exception of a few of the tests under the spoof section. They work just fine on my home computer. Why do all the hosting services I get stop working?! It is really starting to get annoying. Oh, well.
